Fun Bread Cafe

My buddy was craving for pepper tofu, and what better way to get them than to get them at Fun Bread Cafe?

This be the signboard and the entrance of the cafe. It's situated at Gadong area, at the block next to Excapade (I think), within the rows and rows of buildings opposite the Mall. Technically I've always thought of Fun Bread to be just some sort of a bakery/confectionary shop, but to think they earned enough to set up a cafe, that is actually quite impressive

Outdoor dining ftw

Ah, the old school prop of having running water in front of your shop to ensure money and good fortune flows into your business. Typical Chinese feng shui practice

This be the interior of the cafe. Looks very nice; they seem to be emphasizing quite a bit on Western design, what with the props on the walls and the English-esque tray on the counter and whatnot. My favourite would be the small little frame posters on the walls. Those were real kudos to whoever put them. I'm artsy, sue me

My cafe latte, which surprisingly is not as bitter as I expected and I didn't really have the need to put that much sugar as it tastes pretty much just as I want it :d

My buddy's Coke, as usual

Here's the famous pepper tofu that my buddy spoke about. It's actually surprisingly tasty and you can literally feel the pepper and paprika explode inside your mouth along with the creaminess of the tofu. Yes, you heard me. The tofu was not one of those soft texture you usually eat, it's actually creamy, almost like eating radish cake, but with the taste of tofu in the midst of the creaminess

My buddy ordered this burger. Totally forgot what this is called, but it kinda reminds me of the Mighty Temburong that was served in the Millennium Fast Food Restaurant, and I think the size is actually pretty much comparable, or maybe bigger, than the Mighty Temburong

I ordered a seafood dish that is served in an interesting English tray which kinda reminds me of those English breakfast or tea time moments where they serve yummy tiny confectioneries in those trays. Though I have a feeling I'm maybe overpaying for a food which may be considered finger food. I think I paid roughly $16 to $18 for this. Yes, no kidding. But it tastes good, just not enough to satisfy the craving.

If you're into indulgence food, this might be the best place for you, but be sure to go here with a fat wallet.
