Au Lait

My childhood friends from KK came over to Brunei for a business trip, which was pretty cool since it's been forever since I last saw them (OK, exaggeration much, I know, since I saw them on my wedding day). So to celebrate our meeting, we went to Cafe Au Lait

This be the signboard and entrance of the restaurant. It's located at the Ground Floor of Seri Kiulap Mall outwards of the mall itself. To be honest, this is actually my first time being here even though I passed by this place like almost a gajillion times ^^;

This be the interior and outdoor dining of the restaurant. Looks just like any other Bistro cafe around the area, though not as comparable as Coffee Bean or anything. Thankfully instead of suffering the air-conditioning inside, my friends decided to dine outdoors

My childhood friend ordered some sort of tea, if I'm not mistaken, though I can't remember what the name was... ^^;;

My hubby ordered tiramisu cappucino, which looked interesting especially the bottom that really resembled the layers represented on a usual tiramisu

My hubby's childhood friend ordered milk tea, but somehow they ended up not separating the sugar as he had requested and got a bit of a sugar attack XD

My other childhood friend ordered kalua cappucino, which sounds almost like something out of a Hawaiian menu. Looks interesting, almost like tiramisu, only the bottom layer is slightly transparent than my hubby's drink

I ordered chocolate crunchie (I think that's the name), but unfortunately it is basically no different than a regular chocolate shake, with maybe a bit of ice and/or cookie flakes to crunch on while drinking it, but not much

My hubby ordered bread and butter pudding, which actually tastes pretty good with custard instead of the usual bread and butter pudding that I've eaten. Though I do hope my mother-in-law would include custard cream on her bread and butter pudding

I ordered fish burger, since I didn't have dinner due to a late lunch. It tastes pretty good, nice and fresh. At least the fish was not one of those defrosted fish where you keep in the fridge for almost forever, and they didn't have any pickles, though my friend kept snitching fries from me though XD

My hubby's childhood friend ordered something like a veggie sandwich of sorts. Not exactly sure how it tastes like, but looks pretty fresh and healthy to me

So far, this is my two-cents on Au Lait Cafe. Reprisal is possible, but so far, this is a pretty recommendable cafe at best, and I'm satisfied so far
