Foodie One-Shots

Here are some foodie one-shots that I've taken when I buy take-outs or snacks from other shops and stalls (most of them sorta mediocre that I don't really feel the need to do a full post about it):

Chocolate Origins

Feng Cha

GeoEats

Mangkuk Santan

MFC, basically our local parody knock off of KFC

Flour and Butter

Another day, another entry, well, as much as I can post entries whenever I get to go somewhere new, I guess. My buddy heard of some place new, so of course, I'd love to give that a try

Location: Within the Serusop area, just opposite the block where Easy Way Cafe and Hong Kong Bank is

Setting: Rather small and linear, but other than that, it looks like a standard cafe design

Atmosphere: 5/10

Design: 5/10

Drinks: Thai milk tea (my buddy, which I think is his order) and strawberry shake (mine, also which I think is my order)

Presentation: 6.5/10 (I’ve always been partial to this type of mug, so using it to serve drinks is a bonus to me)

Taste: 7/10 (not sure about my friend’s drink, but my drink tastes nice and sweet and delightful)

Food: Fish and chips (both of us)

Presentation: 8/10 and 8.5/10 respectively (looks pretty well-made and well-served for a Malay-ish Indian restaurant/kopitiam)

Presentation: 4.5/10 (it’s the smallest portion of fish and chips I’ve ever seen, and not at all appetizing)

Taste: 5/10 (standard taste but not exactly very filling)

Dessert: Peanut butter crepe layer cake (my buddy) and black forest cake (mine)

Presentation: 7/10 (the layers on the crepe cake is really impressive)

Taste: 7/10 (can’t remember how does my buddy’s cake taste like, but mine tasted pretty good, although it’s a wee bit soggy, but it’s a good kinda soggy?)

Here you go. If you plan to go there for an actual lunch, maybe you should reconsider, but if you’re there to have tea time or dessert or just a snack, it’s pretty good

Overall rating: 6/10

Lunchbox Cafe

Felt the urge to eat out for dinner, and we wanted to eat something light, but also try something new. After wandering around some, we found this place called Lunchbox Cafe

Location: One of the restaurant blocks within Regent Square

Setting: Kopitiam setting and vibe
