During our usual Saturday lunch date with my friend, he suddenly have the urge to take me to try out vegetarian food (and probably starve me in the process -_-*), so we came all the way down to Tien Hsing Vegetarian (dragging me kicking and screaming--well, not really)

This be the signboard and entrance of the restaurant. It's situated in the Menglait area, where it is the same block as Le Apple and also Quadrovision, the company that helped me to do my wedding backdrops. Probably one of the longest-standing vegetarian restaurants around

This be the interior of the restaurant. Nothing too fancy. Looks pretty much like a regular Chinese restaurant to me, though the volume of customers is sad, real sad...

This be the food that they have. It's displayed ala economy meal style, and guess what? It's free! Yes, you heard me right: FREE! All you can eat! Apparently it's either one of those religious offer moments or clearance or whatever, but they're giving away free food! Who says there's no such thing as free lunch? XD

Their "soup of the day", so to speak, which is carrot and cabbage strip soup. Really needs salt, a LOT of salt

This is my batch of food (bean sprouts, kai lan, tofu with fake meat, and fake pork)...

...and my friend's batch (tofu with fake meat, fake pork and long beans)

Close up of our food
It was an interesting experience to eat nothing but purely vegetables, and the fake meat tastes pretty authentic, but a true meat-lover like me can still tell the difference and the sad, sad lil' ol' me who was craving for real meat was crying on the inside TT_TT for the fakeness of it all...
But at least the food was free and we only needed to pay for the drinks, which was 100Plus. If you're vegetarian, this is a good place for you (maybe not so for vegans), and I might go back again, but not anytime soon -_-;;
