May Fang Restaurant

Went out to have lunch with my hubby after running a few wedding errands, and he took me to his usual haunt (which I've never been before) where he often eats with his boss/cousin while onsite, which is May Fang Restaurant

This be the signboard and entrance of the restaurant. It's located somewhere near the Tungku Link area (I think) and apparently is one of the oldest and most famous Chinese restaurants around the area. Though the outside decors makes you feel like they're having Chinese New Year all year round XD

This be the interior of the restaurant. It kinda reminds me of a modest version of Lucky Restaurant, and the moment you enter that restaurant, you are practically bombarded with the sounds of gajillion people talking at once. It was THAT full and jammed packed of people, showing how popular it really is!

You wanna know how noisy it is? THIS is how noisy it is

It's been a while since I drank carrot juice, so I ordered it, though I suspect they added milk in it because it tastes kinda milky

This be my hubby's drink, which is straight up orange juice, though I feel like my carrot juice looked so much more orange than the orange juice itself which is supposed to be its namesake LOL XD

My hubby ordered wa tan ho, but with crispy noodle, which is not exactly my type of noodle to enjoy actually, but the sauce does look nice and thick and the seafood does look kinda fresh

I had a bit of craving for prawn, so I ordered claypot prawn noodles, but to a bit of my dismay, it was served with crispy noodles! Meh~! Ah well, no harm done. It tastes pretty good, the sauce is nice and thick and flavourful, and the prawns were oh-so-Q in a sense, though the noodles tastes kinda...powdery

There you have it, my two-cents on the restaurant. It's a pretty good experience eating there and the food was satisfactory, and man, was it uber busy~! Seriously, that is probably the busiest restaurant of all the restaurant I've been to throughout my days in Brunei (well, not counting Golden Leaf, since it's technically a cafe). Highly recommendable place if you're within the area
