Seri Damai Restaurant & Catering

Went on our usual Saturday lunch date, and my friend was craving some Pakistani food. And I definitely knew where this was leading to. So we went down to our very first haunt, which is Seri Damai Restaurant & Catering

This be the signboard and entrance of the restaurant. It is situated in Kiulap area at the same block with Chong Hock. This was our first haunt when we went out at Kiulap area to eat, and we came here a few times, though this will probably be the first time I do a piece on this.

This be the interior of the restaurant. Definitely has a Pakistani feel to it, and you will be entertained by the Indian channel of the usual drama with song and dance movies that you used to grow up watching when you were a kid. Ahh, those were good times XD

Trigger-happy on the table cloth

Our usual order of sweet lassi, which is never complete without it whenever we eat anything Indian

My friend ordered a set meal called Sa Rang or something like that, which basically is briyani rice with two sausages, two pieces of chichken and some vegs and naan and curry sauce to go with it. Looks pretty nice, and I stole a bite of sausage from him and tastes pretty chewy. Though since it's freshly cooked, my lens fogged up the moment I wanted to take a close-up picture of it. Dammit!

I ordered the set meal as well which the Super Deluxe meal, consists of white rice with something like chicken masala with half a naan and curry sauce to go with it. The chicken tastes quite basil-ish, but at the right texture and flavour, and the sauce was pretty thick and spicy

This is the combination of me and my friend's naan in a basket, which is actually thicker and chewier than the other naans I've eaten in other restaurants, but easier to tear

These are the sauces we have for our rice and our naan. The curry dahl was nice and thick, and quite flavourful, and the other sauce was cold and chilly to the taste, often made me have a chill down my spine when I put it in my mouth LOL

Here ya go, finally, after years since the fact, I did a piece on this restaurant. This restaurant is well-known for having quite spicy and big helpings, and some say it's quite authentic, so if you fancy Pakistani food, this is a pretty good place.
