Nadj Restaurant

Had one of those chances where the boss treats us for lunch, so we didn't want to waste it. We went across the street to sample some Indian food, which is at Nadj Restaurant

This be the signboard and entrance of the area. This restaurant is located at the Kiarong Complex area, just across the street where my office block is. At first glance from the outside, it looks almost deceptively like a sundry store or something you just walk in, buy and leave, but actually it's just the front part. The restaurant part is all the way inside.

This be the interior of the restaurant. It didn't really give off the feel of an Indian restaurant though, more like a Malay restaurant to me, like what it was in Restoran Aminah Arif. Yeah. In fact, there was a bit of feeling of oriental in it, especially with those zen plants near the wash basin area

Trigger-happy on the lights

My best friend's usual order of Kasturi ping

One of our sub-con finance associates ordering salt lassi, which is freakin' weird. I mean, aside from him, who the heck would want to get a salty drink??

Another one of our colleagues from KL ordering warm lemon tea

I think my super ordered teh tarik or something...

And this is moi order of the usual sweet lassi~! Nothing is complete in an Indian cuisine without having this sweet yogurt drink!

My colleague ordered Nasi Briyani, and it looks quite delicious and filling. If I'm not mistaken, I think the meat he ordered was lamb, but I didn't try it though

My super ordered (if I'm not mistaken) chicken tikka and spinach curry with naan. Pretty good substitute for rice, although it doesn't really do much in reducing the carbs though. LOL

Me and our sub-con financial associate ordered chicken masala. Technically I ordered fish masala but they ran out, so I ordered liver instead, and they ALSO ran out, so I had to settle for this. It doesn't taste too bad. Not too bland and not too spicy either, and the thickness of the curry is just nice. Didn't feel like eating rice, so I ordered naan instead to go with the curry

My best friend ordered fried kuey tiaw, though I have no idea why he would order that in an Indian cuisine restaurant, but then again the menu did say there are Asian cuisines

Speaking of Asian cuisines, this is what our KL colleague ordered, which is Japanese teppanyaki chicken with rice or something. Yeah, I think that's the name of it

Here you go, the gist of what is served in this restaurant. Overall, I'd probably give it a 6/10 for taste and affordability, but not a place recommendable if you're really into authentic Indian food because this restaurant is probably more of the fusion kind
