TDC Dim Sum

My friend was craving a little bit of dim sum, so we decided to follow his lead and go all the way to Mata-Mata to TDC Dim Sum.

This be the signboard of the restaurant. It's situated in Mata-Mata where The Trader's Inn and SuperSave and Millenium is, where I often stop by to send my guests that have taken the lunch package to Millenium to eat

Trigger-happy on the entrance and the preview menu

The interior of the restaurant. It was pretty much a big hustle and bustle in there, and obviously, most of the customers there were Chinese. I simply adore the wallpaper they had because it ultimately reminds me of those old-school Chinese movies where the main character would be walking down the bridge with the damsel and exchange a few mushy love lines and such in their 30's outfit, LOL!

This be my drink, which is warm barley. I had a bit of a craving for warm drink, especially when the room I'm in is bloody freezing. Seriously, what is Bruneians' obsession with blasting air-conditioning?

My friend ordered ice lemon tea. I have no freakin' idea how he can stand the cold and drink cold drinks as well! LOL!

Trigger-happy on the sauce and condiments

This be my order, which is kolo mee with steamed chicken. Just felt like eating chicken without the rice. Tastes pretty good, and the chicken is nice and tender, almost the same texture of the chicken in Tien Tien

One of our dim sum arrived, which is the deep fried yam (not really sure what it's actually called). Now I'm not usually one for yam, but this kind of yam, along with the pork and yam during Chinese New Year, is probably one of those time where I actually eat yam, and for this, it tastes pretty good, nice and thick

My friend ordered kolo mee too, but with chicken feet. I always had an affinity towards chicken feet, though I don't really need to taste his because his kolo mee is pretty much like mine and we ordered chicken feet as part of our dim sum dish as well

Below are the dim sum that we ordered that came in later:

Siu mai

Chicken feet

Har kao

Some sort of fish cake with seaweed wrapped around it (I forgot the name)

Meat wrapped in tofu skin

Fried dumpling (guo tie), though it didn't taste as good as it should be

Overall, the food was pretty good and filling, but there was still something missing, like something that they didn't have that Lucky Restaurant has, and to be frank, I would still like Lucky Restaurant's dim sum better, but still it's pretty up to par, so I would pretty much recommend this restaurant to you guys, especially to those who live in Trader's Inn and have a craving for Chinese food nearby your area
