Charcoal Revisited

Here we are again, in Charcoal (apparently I have totally forgotten that I had a Saturday lunch date with my friends to eat here before I decided to suggest Charcoal as a birthday dinner celebration with my hubby, LOL!). As much as I didn't want to, the food here is just too good to pass up NOT to blog about.

I ordered this salmon salad with pineapple salsa sauce just to give it a try, since I've already tried the Caesar salad. The salmon tastes amazingly fresh, along with the lettuce, just like when I was eating the Caesar salad. I dare say the salmon actually tastes fresher than the sushi restaurant's version! LOL!

My friend ordered French onion soup and I stole a few sips from it. It tastes really flavourful, and the onion is just boiled to perfection of softness. I didn't try the bread though

My other friend ordered some sort of salad that had potato and cheese in it, and I gotta tell ya, while I love the potatoes, the cheesy covering is, well, cheesy! It's so cheesy, you can practically call a meal out of it since the cheese is what makes meals so filling

Speaking of cheese, my other friend even ordered some sort of lasagna, which, of course, has MOAR cheese! Gah! Poor her. It would be a waste not to finish it, since it's pricey stuff, but if she finish it, she would end up being too stuffed for the dinner later that night coz she and her family were invited for a dinner function. LOL!

I ordered Wagyu steak to try the whole meat for my own. It was just as awesome as the small piece I tried last time. Totally worth ordering it! I had french fries and coleslaw for side dishes

This be my friend's Wagyu steak as well and he ordered garlic bread and baked potatoes for side dishes

Our vegan (I know she's only vegetarian, but I just like calling her vegan. Sounds more exotic, lol!) friend joined us finally at last and ordered herself some salad as well, which is roasted vegetables or something with blueberry yogurt as dressing. Looks pretty good, but I didn't try. I still love my meat

She also ordered the main course that I have recommended which has something to do with spinach and risotto and whatnot (Dammit, I can't seem to remember dish names nowadays). It also looks bloody cheesy as well and she couldn't finish it after going through about 2 quarters of it

There you have it. Another revisit of Charcoal. I suppose I have enough protein intake from Charcoal to last me a whole month. LOL!
