Saffron

Back again with more new entries~! For this post, we were lucky to be treated for lunch at an employee's discount price at our boss's restaurant, so definitely needed to do a piece on this one. So, here we are, off to Saffron~!

This be the signboard of the restaurant. It's situated in the Kiulap area, same block with Baiduri Bank of Kiulap branch, and just at the ground floor of the same building where Le Taj and Capers were

Apparently they were selling Hari Raya cookies at an outside booth of the entrance, but I wasn't in a mood for Raya cookies, so I passed

Le entrance of the restaurant

The outside dining/bar counter for people who wants to dine outside or just there for a drink

The interior of the restaurant, which looks pretty expensive and high-classed, and even have a slightly opened kitchen so we can see what they are cooking for desserts, and you can literally smell the confectionery fresh from the oven out of that kitchen

We were eating lunch buffet, so this be the food that were on display:

Onion soup, which has a very nice, rich taste. Even the best canned soup of Campbell's doesn't measure up to this.

Plain white rice

Mixed vegetables and potatoes, the potatoes being really nice boiled to the right texture

Beef with some sort of rendang sauce, tastes pretty good, but not superbly good, just pretty good

Honey chicken, which actually tastes a little bit more chicken than honey

Fish fillet, which is by far my fav of all the dishes

The soup comes with bread pieces which you can dunk it in the soup, though once it's totally soaked in the soup, it'll end up having the texture of those Chinese oil breadstick kinda feel

After the food, we were allowed to have desserts, and since it would be a bit of bad rep to take pictures of other people's desserts, especially when it's my super's sub-con men that I don't know very well, I decided to just take picture of the dessert that they have in display

Chocolate pudding, in which they will take it and melt it into pudding texture and put a scoop of ice-cream beside it, and the hot and cold sweetness was just to die for

Blueberry cheesecake

My one and only vice, chocolate fudge, in which me and my colleague ordered

Apple crumble, which I grabbed a bite from my best friend who ordered it and it tastes amazing

Chocolate eclairs, in which I wished I'd order to go

Overall, if you're here for the desserts, it's wonderfully amazing. If you are here for the ala carte meals and whatnot, well, be totally traumatized by their pricing and be prepared for an not so impressed taste buds
