I Lotus Seafood

We went to celebrate my hubby's cousin's birthday, and as it had been for the previous few birthdays, we went to celebrate it at I Lotus, which I finally am able to do a piece on it

This be the building of the restaurant. It's well-known for its Chinese and seafood cuisines and it's located on the way towards Jerudong, and the same way if you're going to Le Stadium, which I might do a piece on it

This be the signboards of the restaurant, which has a nice theme colour to it

This be the interior and outdoor dining of the place. They were having sungkai (break fast) buffet, and like all Bruneian buffet vultures, this place was ultimately jam-packed with people there to have a big meal for the cheapest price ever

Since again, it's a buffet, I'm gonna just showcase it in simplicity of all the food that's there:

Appetizers (which was more or less a-OK, I'd rate it a bit of a 5/10, though...who the heck serves fried stuff like spring rolls and fried bananas as appetizers?)

Main course (they all look standard, except the prawn. The prawn is probably the best and juiciest part of the main course)

Free flow of warm drinks of teh tarik and soya bean

Grill spot where you can pick and mix and match an assortment of poultry and fish, clip the plate with the number of your table and let the guy do their magic in frying and grilling the food for you. Tastes pretty good, but not as good as professional grilling, of course

Some Chinese fried side-dishes

Rojak assortments (I think)

Soto noodles/mee hoon/kuey tiaw

Desserts and fruits, which I didn't really get to try

Self-service ABC, with the accompanying condiments, and I definitely did not want to miss eating that. Yummy~!

Overall, I would give this a 6/10, because it felt like it's just lacking something more. Or maybe it's because it's a buffet that everything feels and tastes standardized or whatever. Some were good, some were awesome, some were a-OK, but overall that's how I feel about the sungkai buffet here in I Lotus

Maybe if there is a chance for me to eat ala carte here, I might do a reprisal piece on it and see how it goes on the rating
