Kaizen Sushi Restaurant

This time, my friends have a craving for Japanese, and so, during my lunch hour, we decided to give Kaizen Sushi Restaurant a try to see how it fared from other Japanese restaurants here.

This be the signboard and entrance of the restaurant. It's located at the same row as KNY Kitchen and just right opposite my office in Kiarong Complex.

This be the interior and the decors of the restaurant. It's pretty small, almost as small as the Excapade in Kiulap branch, but it does have the aesthetics and whatnot. I especially like the lights. They're cute ^_^

Trigger-happy on the sushi train and the huge ship they used as decor for the open-air sushi counter. Looks awesomely cute

This be the cup they used to serve green tea, which looks pretty much like those they use for regular house-use and those who live the bachelor pod or something like that. Looks more commoner-like than the ones we used in other Japanese restaurants

I took down the salmon shake and the tamago sushi from the sushi train, but somehow the taste just doesn't seem too right. No, it's not spoilt, but it's just kinda lacking something

My friend ordered baby octopus as usual. His way of getting back at the octopus who predicted Germany's downfall LOL

My vegan friend's cousin ordered unagi tamago (I think) with rice, which is just basically unagi (eel) smothered in egg with white rice. Looks nice, but I never got to try it for real

My friend also ordered chicken wings, which looked pretty delicious, though kinda weird it being stretched out like that. I didn't try it, since I have my own food to bother with

The good ol' fashioned crabstick sushi, which I think I ate a couple

I totally forgot what is the name of this bento that I ordered, but it tastes pretty good. Basically it's salmon and chicken with teriyaki sauce and rice with the usually miso soup

Close up shots of the meat

My friend ordered the brown tea soba, which I had the courtesy to have a taste when I ate it in Kitaro (before it was Kitaro). Not sure how this one tastes here though

He also ordered salmon fishhead, and I never really actually tried it, though I still like the Chopstix version of salmon fishhead. How much can he eat?? LOL XD

My vegan friend ordered the string mushrooms, but it's the boiled version. Maybe next time when we eat together at Excapade, I might recommend her the one with teriyaki and butter sauce

She also ordered green tea soba as well, which I do wonder whether or not it tastes any better or worse than the others

Overall, I'd probably give this place a 5/10. Yeah, they got the atmosphere and stuff pretty well, but it just keeps giving me the feeling like it's missing something. Something that other Japanese restaurants have but they don't. Not really sure how to put it, but it really lacks something. But anyways, still some place recommendable to have Japanese food, if you're within the Kiarong area, that is
