The Chicken Rice Shop
I was in KK to get my birth cert with my fiance to finally get my marriage registration done, and while during in KK, I've been to some numerous cool restaurants, and the next few entries will showcase some of the places of gorging that we have been.
This be the front of the restaurant. It's situated in the basement of the new hypermart in KK called 1Borneo. That hypermart has all the makings, including a hotel and all that jazz. I don't think it'll be enough to venture that place in a day, and it's true. I think I got blisters on my blisters by the time I was done shopping, but it was worth it, more or less.

This be the inside of the restaurant. It's got a rather nice colour and Chinese theme and all that, to make it look like it's the old-school chicken rice shop which is mainly a Chinese dish (Singaporean to be exact, if I'm not mistaken), and they've got really comfy seats as well.

These are the drinks that we ordered. I'm always a loyal customer to the Milo Ping (iced milo), while my fiance was more into the Chinese tea mood. I find his mug rather impressive, coz it had the restaurant logo on it. My dad and his friend, who tagged along for the meal, didn't order anything coz they've already had their fill, but my dad's friend did order some of their signature soup.
This be my order, which is the usual steamed chicken rice. I always go for drumstick and I just love the taste of that fatty white flesh. It's quite tender and easy on the chewing, and the rice is quite flavourful. The soup was also awesome, which was technically part of the signature soup that my dad's friend ordered.
This be what my fiance ordered: Roast chicken drumstick meal. He's always more of a roast meat kind of guy (almost like when someone likes peanut butter crunchy and someone likes it smooth), and I bet his tastes just as good as mine. My dad only ordered a bottle of water to drink, though it doesn't help much on his pot-belly.
It tastes pretty good by far. Probably unable able to rival the old-school way of serving chicken rice, but still, it's satisfying at best, especially when you have been waiting all day hungry in the national registrar just to get a friggin' birth cert. So yeah, it's worth a try.
