My father-in-law decided on having a sort of post-wedding party for the benefit of those who weren't able to show up during our actual wedding day, so of course, before actually going for the food head-on, we decided to sample the food, so we made it our dinner spot on the night of our first day in my hometown

This be the building where the restaurant is. It's located at the Lido Area where the building is situated and apparently it's a building fusioned with different kinds of restaurants and even a night club at the ground floor and a legal casino as well. Wow, my hometown did change a ton, coz back then, casinos were absolutely unheard of!

Le entrance of the restaurant

Trigger-happy on their signboard, which has a pretty cool offer right there

This be the interior of the restaurant. Looks just like any typical high-profile Chinese restaurant like the Emperor's Court, though probably a bit more spacious and more private rooms than that, which incidentally, the private room has a TV and VCD/DVD player for those who are looking for having a good karaoke night! Innit awesome?

Our usual appetizer of peanuts, but surprisingly this version of peanuts is not fried or served crunchy-hard as it is, but it's soft-boiled, with quite a herbal after-taste to it. Not bad, something new and interesting in the typical Chinese appetizers

A complimentary dish of spinach soup (I think) which is quite flavourful, actually, unlike most complimentary soups where it's for the sake of complimentary and no taste
The cuisines soon came in, and here's the list of contestants for our taste buds:

Deer with ginger & spring onion (which tastes amazingly tender and juicy, and sweetish too in a poultry, meaty sort of way)

Pork chop rinds (I think, and which has a yummy chewy texture to it, but not much that you can't chew it enough to swallow, and pretty easy to gnawed off the bone)

Chicken cook in pi-pa sauce (which you can really taste the pi-pa sauce of it, where the meat is nice and tender with a crunchy skin, and slips off the bones pretty good)

Japanese tofu (which is amazingly flavourful with the right texture both outside and inside, and the sauce is just to die for)

And mixed veggies with abalone (in which the vegs are pretty fresh, and the abalone as well too)

If I'm not mistaken, this be our dessert, which is coconut sweet soup, which tastes rather refreshing and yummy, actually. Mm~! It's really nice and cooling and gives off the feeling of having your stomach less bloated somehow

Complimentary wet wipes, which I went trigger-happy on
There you have it, my two-cents on the restaurant. It's actually pretty worth going to it, since they've got all the good flavours right and amazingly tasteful, so go ahead and try it if you have one of those Chinese cuisine cravings and feeling a little fat in the wallet
