Went down to Miri during December to do some Xmas shopping, and we did an overnight stay thing. Before we made our way to the hotel after shopping for the later half of the first day, we decided to give Fullhouse a try.
| Location: Within Permaisuri Imperial City Mall at Ground Floor |
Technically I've seen one of their branches back in my hometown and I thought it was the cutest cafe I've ever seen, but too bad we were pressing for time and didn't really have the chance to settle down and grab a cuppa, so this was the best chance I could get to try out this franchise.
| Setting: Very cutesy feel-good-and-at-home cafe style design that feels fresh and cozy and cheery at the same time |
The original full name of the cafe is called "
Fullhouse Lifestyle Store and Café", but soon shortened to "Fullhouse Theme Cafe". The whole cafe itself has a lot of anime-ish characters decorating the area, shows that there is a possibility that the owner of the store may be either a comic enthusiast or maybe a cartoonist themselves. They seem to take pride making their theme of their cafe to feel like home and apparently besides being a cafe, it's also a boutique on the sidelines, but it's mainly a cafe, and the boutique apparently is only available in West Malaysia areas. Not exactly sure which is the original franchise or where it originally came from, but apparently they have branches as far as Hong Kong, Korea and Taiwan.

| My girl's watermelon juice |
| My carrot juice with milk |
| My soup of the day, which I think is mushroom soup |
| My girl's soup of the day as well |
| Chicken wings for appetizers |
| Mash potatoes with some kind of sweet BBQ sauce |
| My hubs' steak meal |
| My salmon meal |
| Both my in-laws' fish meal, which I kinda forgotten what kind of fish it was |
The food overall is pretty flavourful and the presentation is amazing and appetizing. It shows that they put a lot of effort into the cooking. The soup was also very flavourful, and I like that they serve it in coffee cups instead of the usual soup bowl.
The only beef I have is that they seem to have a trademark sweet BBQ sauce that seemed to be more sweet than savory, and it's evidently heavy on the mashed potatoes that I can't exactly enjoy it without it overriding my sense of taste somehow. If they could cut down on that, the meal would've been much better.
Still, it's a nice place to chillax and enjoy your meal, and hopefully I could do a reprisal because I actually really enjoyed the environment and atmosphere there.
Overall rating: 7/10
Atmosphere rating: 10/10
