Fuchow Restaurant

On the day my girl went off for her trial day at her new kindy, I decided to hang around outdoors (since the session only lasts 2 hours) and have breakfast at a nearby restaurant near my hubby's office, and it's called Fuchow Restaurant. Yup, like literally a Fuchow (Chinese minority) restaurant called Fuchow Restaurant.

Location: Kiulap area, just right next to the building where the famous C.F. King Enterprise is, where my hubs works

Setting: Typical Chinese restaurant kopitiam-style design

To kill time until the time arrives to pick up our girl and also have my breakfast, I decided to order something that is quite staple for most Chinese restaurants, and since I was in a mood for noodles, I definitely didn't want to miss the chance to order one of my fav classics, which is salted veggies with fish head noodles.

Apparently I didn't know that you could choose whether to add milk into the soup, which I chose to add, and it actually kinda enhances the taste of the food, the soup particularly. They've got a lot of other vegs besides the salted veggies and plenty of ginger too, which I kinda like in these types of soup. Unfortunately my only beef was that the fish was fried a little tad too long, or maybe the fish that they used was old fish because it was tough as hell to chew through and pick out the bones.

I was only there for breakfast and killing time, so not really have much time to actually take things in and fully immerse in the eating experience, and I might do a reprisal for this, but overall, it's a pretty good deal and the food is actually more or less to par.

Overall rating: 6/10
