Tafu Restaurant
During lunch hour, me, my BFF and my kismesis decided to try somewhere else other than the usual neighbourhood for our Chinese fix, so we went down to Tafu Restaurant
This be the signboard of the restaurant. It's located within the Batu Bersurat area where most of the hardware and spare parts shops are located, a junction before the area where we had lunch (Shikai, Red Canopy, De Old Cottage, Restoran Piring Emas, etc...). For a single glance there I almost thought it read "Tofu Restaurant". LOL!

This be the interior of the restaurant. Slightly fancier than the usual kopitiam-ish Chinese restaurant we went to, but nevertheless it's still the same size more or less like the usual. Surprisingly almost full-house though, so I wonder if it really is as nice as the patronage seems

My kismesis' Kopi-C ping...

My BFF's K-Lime juice, his fav alternative for Kasturi ping...

And my carrot juice, hold the ice and less sugar

My kismesis ordered char sau sau rou with rice. Looks nice, and according to him, the skin has a really nice crunch to it for the sau rou and the fat in between tastes good. Didn't try it though, so can't comment on that

My BFF ordered pork rib with rice. Apparently it comes with cucumber and tomatoes and fries, and the rice is fried instead of the usual white rice

I ordered the same thing, but black pepper chicken instead. The rice tastes pretty good. Not too salty, just the right taste, and the chicken has a pretty good crunch to it, with the meat inside pretty tender and yummy. And along with the fries? Perfect
A pretty nice recommendable place for a filling Chinese meal. Fancy a bite? Go ahead and try here.
