Fleur-de-lys Bakeshop

Was feeling down in the dumps towards near lunch hour, and thank god my gal pal called up to ask if I had plans for lunch. I jumped to the chance to have my girl time with her, and she decided it would be better to eat nearby coz of the jam, so we went to Fleur-de-lys Bakeshop

This be the signboard and entrance of the bakeshop. This bakeshop has plenty of branches throughout Brunei actually, but the one we're going is opposite my office across the road here at Kiarong Complex. It's basically almost like Secret Recipe, but selling bread and confectioneries on the sidelines

This be the interior of the place. Pretty small and quaint, almost like a Western bistro, though it feels a little odd to sorta be eating in a bakeshop, but I got over it anyways

Trigger-happy on the cakes that were on sale

My gal pal's diet coke...

And my soup of the day. Tastes nice and creamy and pretty flavourful, though I think I should've just asked her to serve it in a bowl instead because the bread seems to be soaking up my soup and I'm left with not much ^^;

My fettucini carbonara. Thick and creamy with cheese and sauce, and the noodles are cooked just right with the chewy tang, but unfortunately probably not as cheesy goodness as Mauri's

My gal pal already had a heavy breakfast, so she settled for waffles with ice-cream. The waffles (which I grabbed a bite from) tastes pretty good actuallly, nice and crispy. No qualms over there

I decided to fuck diet and got myself an Oreo cheese cake because I was stressed out, dammit! Nice and thick with cheese that melts in your mouth with a great crunch of Oreo biscuits in the bottom, this is definitely girl's best friend

Ordered myself some English Breakfast tea to wash the cake down. Prolly defeat the purpose of eating healthy, but who cares.

Here's my two-cents on this place. Reprisal is possible, but so far, I'm giving a bit of a thumbs-up for this bakeshop slash bistro eatery
