Restoran Piring Emas

Another additional entries of foodies during these hectic times of office work whenever we managed to go somewhere new to eat, starting with this one named Restoran Piring Emas

This be the restaurant signboard. It's located in Batu Bersurat area and in the same block with Shikai. Rumoured by my kismesis to be the best chicken rice compared to Thien Thien and Rejoice, but well, that is an issue to be put to the test

This be the interior plus trigger-happy moments. As usual, it looks like any typical Chinese kopitiam-ish restaurant, with outdoor dining in the works. We sat outside coz it was quite full inside, but personally, I prefer sitting outdoors rather than suffer fan and air-con bombarding me into a giant popsicle

My BFF's kasturi ping (as usual)...

...and my iced Milo. My kismesis ordered only plain cold water, so no need for a coverage there

This be the chicken rice my BFF ordered, which looks pretty much standard. I did try it the next time we came here, but I can't say it can be in superior comparable to Thien Thien or Rejoice in terms of its awesomeness. All I can say is that it's pretty much standard taste

My kismesis ordered fried meehoon, looks pretty yummy, but I didn't taste it, so I wouldn't know how it actually tastes like

I ordered wa tan ho, and of course, the first thing to taste to see how good a wa tan ho is is the egg sauce, and boy, was it super tasty. It's nice and thick and flavorful in the right places. Once the sauce passed the test, everything else just tastes wonderful. Not the super best of the best, but it passed the yummy test. Kudos to this one

There you have it. My two-cents on this restaurant. A good place to grab a bite and come out satisfied and full. Recommended to everyone, though I would press caution to Malays, since I think this is a non-Halal restaurant.
