T.T. Blues Cafe & Restaurant

From now on, there will possibly be more entries than before because not only I have Saturday lunch dates, but I also have Thrusday girls' night out. So to start off on our Thursday girls' night out, we're moving to T.T. Blues Cafe & Restaurant

This be the signboard and entrance of the restaurant. It's situated in Gadong area, same row with the curry fish head restaurant and Sawadee House. Technically I have passed by this place many times, but I never actually went in to give it a try or a shot at it, so this is actually a pretty good chance to go for it

This be the interior of the restaurant. Looks pretty empty actually, despite the ambiance and everything, which is quite impressive. Apparently it's been here for a while now, but how it was able to still remain an ongoing business is beyond me

Trigger-happy moments

We both ordered Coke (or was it Root Beer?), and the lighting in the restaurant was not so good, so I decided to give flash a shot, but ended up turning my drink so damn sparkly in effect that it looked like something out of a Twilight movie! XDDDD

I was feeling a little Asian that day, so I ordered their black pepper chicken with fried rice. Tastes nice and spicy with a kick, and I especially like the fried rice. Cook with egg to a nice taste and texture, and the sauce of the black pepper was pretty flavourful

My friend ordered butter milk chicken with rice. Looks pretty good, though I don't remember trying it

A bit of a side dish of spring rolls, just cause I felt like eating it. Very nice and crunchy, but it was vegan inside, with a hint of potato and carrots and cabbages in it

What's dinner without dessert, eh? And since we went Asian, it's fitting that we ordered Asian desserts

My friend ordered ABC, which had a nice tint of pink among the translucent ice. I think I remembered her saying to hold off certain condiments within the ABC though, but ah well, it's her dessert

I ordered cendol, since it's been a while since I've eaten cendol, though usually most of the time when you say cendol, it's usually served through a cup as a drink, but to have it served like ABC dessert style, it's pretty interesting. Nice and chilly cold and sweet, just the way I like it

This restaurant is actually worth going into, sadly so very little people actually going there to eat even though it is placed at the heart where everyone goes to The Mall and whatnot. And the food there is pretty good with a reasonable price too. So do show some support and stop by at this shop if you're feeling the munchies (and not just stop there for the sake of getting free internet, like our neighbour did)
