De'Tymz Cafe & Restaurant

My friend and I technically had a plan to eat somewhere during one of my outings with him to borrow his driving services (and to ask him to gimme a ride hitch to get my Valentine's Day chocolate for my hubby), but since it was closed, we decided to eat at the restaurant beside it, which is De'Tmyz Cafe & Restaurant

This be the signboard and entrance of the restaurant. It's located in Kiulap, at the block opposite the block where Cafe Twelv, Restoran Aminah Arif and Lee Loi Fatt is. Apparently they say this used to be run by another management (and had great business too) before sold to the Chinese, so we shall put the new management to the test

This be the interior of the restaurant. It's got a nice modern Western feel to it, and it has the right aura and atmosphere, plus a pretty good sound system when they're playing the MTV channel for the customer's viewing pleasure, and the sofa seats look quite comfy too (wish we had sat there though)

I ordered hot Milo, as usual, to keep myself warm from the "harsh winter" that surrounds me

My friend ordered Dad's Root Beer, though unfortunately no "stars" tonight LOL!

My friend ordered their set lunch of chicken chop, and despite the fact that the chicken came out pretty well, the vegs looked kinda soggy and the mash potatoes tastes like rice somehow, and the problem was that when it comes to serving proper set meals, you should always serve the drinks first and then serve up the dish later once you see your customer almost done with their soup, but unfortunately it didn't. They all came out in one lump sum and came out really, really, really, REALLY slow. It's either they were still harvesting the ingredients there in the kitchen or they totally lacked the necessary chefs for it

I ordered wet fried noodles coz I couldn't really think of anything to eat, but I was sorely disappointed when I had to wait for almost 1 hour just to get my noodles, which pretty much (minus the sauce) consists of 3 ingredients: noodles, chicken pieces and vegs. That's all, and it wasn't even worth the wait because it turns out that they are quite liberal with the salt and it's probably a one way ticket to high blood pressure, sadly

Here's my two-cents of this restaurant. All I can say about this restaurant is that they really need to get it together with their management and seriously consider getting better cooks and have better time management. Only come here if you are REALLY not in a hurry and as a last resort
