Overall, it was a pretty satisfying meal, and despite my reservations of the food being expensive as I had experienced back then, surprisingly it was pretty affordable. It's a good place to try, if you're not picky with your bistro food, so I'd prolly recommend this place for a bite

Red Canopy Cafe
For this week, our girls' night out this time led us to Batu Bersurat, and after deciding some, led us to where we decided on Red Canopy Cafe

This be the signboard and entrance (the only best shot I've got) of the cafe. It's located in Batu Bersurat and being in the same block as De Old Cottage and just opposite Shikai Restaurant. I've only been there once back then and it was known to be quite cut-throat in price, so I'm not sure how it would fare now after so many years of not going here

This be the interior of the cafe. To be honest, I only ever had dine outdoors when they still had outdoor dining, and it looks like apparently they don't anymore. So this is actually my first time seeing the inside of this place, though it looked a little dim and gloomy because of the lights

Trigger-happy moments. I particularly like the lights. It's really cute with the fake butterflies and all, quite artistic-looking

My friend ordered iced lemon tea while I ordered warm Horlick malt drink. Being in the business of drinking warm drinks ever since my recovery from food poisoning, and also a good way to keep me warm while eating in restaurants that seem to be very liberal with the air-conditioning

My friend ordered fries with cheese sauce, and it looks like it is just literally buried in cheese and such, though still cannot compare with the cheese that was used for KFC wedges. Now that's cheese!

I ordered prawn spring rolls, just to try and see how it tastes like, and it seems that despite the nice, crunchy texture, the spring roll had like an entire whole piece of straightened prawn in it, which kinda is odd because I ended up taking one bite and the whole piece of prawn just came out with it without warning instead of being one small bite chunk in my mouth
I ordered pataya rice (and totally forgot to take a close-up shot), and it tastes more or less good. I don't really hate it, but I don't really love it either. You can say it's one of those food that you like but not in love with it. Yeah, something like that. It's got a nice filling though

I think my friend ordered pepper chicken or something (can't for the life of me remember what it was), and it looks pretty tasty, though it's sad that she doesn't eat the green and red capsicums, and I think I snagged a few from her, which gave me the taste of the sauce, and it's actually quite good. Got a small kick to it
Overall, it was a pretty satisfying meal, and despite my reservations of the food being expensive as I had experienced back then, surprisingly it was pretty affordable. It's a good place to try, if you're not picky with your bistro food, so I'd prolly recommend this place for a bite
