We had one of rare lunches together with my other friend/bridesmaid, and we had craving for Indian food, so we decided to go give this restaurant a shot, which is Tandoor.com

This be the signboard of the restaurant. It's situated just right at the road going into Gadong, and it's in the building that is behind The Arch Cafe (which I may or may not do a piece on) and same block where Toys R' Us and Mubarak (or was it Bistari?) bookstore is located

Le staircase to go up to the restaurant, since it's located upstairs

Le board and entrance of the restaurant

These are the first stuff that will catch your attention once you enter. Apparently they have the courtesy to have seats outside for waiting guests just in case they don't have tables and you have to wait for a vacancy

This be the interior of the restaurant. They really put an effort in decorating the place to make it look as Indian as possible, with all the decors and oriental objects and even instruments for display that inspires Indian music, I'll give them that. And it is set in a slightly warm, humid temperature. Not sure it's because of the air-conditioning or it's part of the gimmick, I think it's just nice, especially since I'm not exactly a big fan of restaurants with blasting air-conditioning that'll make you feel like you just went into a meat locker XD

This be their menu, which has a nice design, though when I opened it to make my order, it was like "Holy bajeebus! What the hell? Are these food blessed by Shiva or something?? So bloody expensive!!" kind of feeling. LOL! It was so much more expensive than eating in Le Taj, to be friggin' honest!

Trigger-happy moments at their Indian decors and whatnot, and especially their aquarium

Appetizers while we wait for our food to arrive. It's basically naan with condiments like the white and green sauce and also an interesting acar which is basically pickled spring onions. Tastes sweet and sour, but mostly sour

Our sweet lassi came in, which is a must in dining Indian. Our cup kinda gives us the impression that it looked a coconut XD

Their own water glass with their own company symbol stamped on it. Looks awesome, though due to the oddness of the name, it looked like as if an ad for a website or something LOL

After a bit of a long wait, here comes our order: Briyani rice with lamb (my bridesmaid friend) and tikka masala fish (mine)

This be the briyani rice with lamb. It basically briyani rice cooked and smothered with pieces of lamb in between, and it tastes pretty good. A little, little bit on the spicy side, but aren't all Indian food that way? The pot does give us the illusion that it's little but if you actually plow through it, it's actually quite deep and the proportion is quite a lot too, so we shared it amongst the three of us

This be my order of tikka masala fish. It's got a nice flavourful taste to the curry once mixed with the rice and all. It's not too spicy, but not too less of a kick either. Let's just say it's quite...creamy in a sense. And the fish is also flavourful, and you can tell by the texture that it's quite fresh

The plain rice that comes along with it. Again, the bowl is deceptive as it can actually hold rice for two, in which it's divided between me and my friend

This is what my friend ordered. I totally forgot what chicken was it that he ordered, but I think it's tikka. Tastes pretty good, just a little bit dry

Close up shots
After having our meal, we ordered some desserts. This is what me and my friends ordered

My friend ordered some sweet treat called Gulam Jagul or something of that name. It's basically huge-ass cherries totally soaked in sugar syrup and a dash of chopped almonds. I took a taste and it was uber sweet. It's diabetics' worst nightmare XD But I bet it's not as sweet as the pears my hubby's grandma make to cure coughs and colds XP

My bridesmaid friend ordered fruit salad with ice cream. I didn't taste it, but it looks very colourful and yummy

This be my dessert, which I think I totally forgot what it was. It's a frozen dessert, but not ice cream, and it tastes almost like eating cherries with peanut butter or something like that. And quite hard to slice through. And what's with their obsession with chopped almonds anyways? XD

Few other trigger-happy moments, including my friend who decides to pose beside this huge mini-monument-like thingy there that looks a bit like an oversize chandelier. LOL

A few more trigger-happy stuff that I noticed last minute as we walked down the stairs to leave the restaurant
The food is pretty good, more or less, but probably not as good as Le Taj and has lesser variety, although I must give kudos to the desserts. Price is really like as high as bloody hell, so only come here if you are feeling very, very rich XP
