Sing U.Me

Had a lunch date with my childhood friend who came over surprisingly to visit on a leisurely trip. So we decided to eat at Sing U.Me

This be the signboard, outdoor dining and the entrance (where my lovely hubby inadvertedly posed for me) of the restaurant. It's located in the Mata-Mata area where I had blogged about the Mamih branch in this area. They have 2 branches technically, another one being in Gadong, but since we were nearby the area, we went here.

This be the interior of the restaurant. Definitely had the feel of a Chinese restaurant, almost a little like Axtivo when you dine in the inside, and they got all the settings, wall props and furniture just right to tell you that this is a Chinese restaurant. Technically I've been here once or twice, but seeing that I hadn't had my camera back then, it's a no-brainer that this is my first piece considered for this restaurant

My iced Milo (breakfast of champions)...

My hubby's childhood friend's herbal tea (I think)...

And both my childhood friends' coffee and teh-C ping

We ordered some dim sum, which is more or less the regular orders of siu mai and chicken feet (prolly the only thing available). Tastes pretty good, but not as good as Lucky Restaurant's dim sum. Theirs is still the best

I ordered something called Singapore (or was it Hong Kong) wet noodles or something. It basically looks almost like wa tan ho, but the noodle taste overpowers the egg sauce, and it's a mix between the regular noodles and the short rice noodles into one batch, which is pretty intriguing. An interesting taste, not bad, and the sauce is quite flavourful

My hubby ordered kolo mee with char sau and wan tan, the old school house product of any Chinese restaurant who knows the trades of serving kolo mee. Looks yummy, but I can't judge it since I didn't try it

My buddies all ordered pan mian, which is also one of my favourite Chinese noodle dishes aside from wa tan ho. Looks and smells nice though, maybe I should've snuck a taste

There you have it, my two-cents on this restaurant. Overall it's a pretty decent Chinese restaurant with satisfactory dishes and worth to pay a trip to. Recommendable only for non-Muslims though
