Cafe By The Park

During the EA Con, I was super hungry after having next to nothing to eat while I was guarding my booth, and when my hubby came to check out the con, I begged him to take me out for lunch. Since the place we were at was a hotel, we decided to eat downstairs at their dining restaurant, named Cafe By The Park

This be the sign and entrance of the cafe/restaurant. It's located within the Asma Hotel, which is all the way down towards Jerudong and a bit after Empire Hotel. Technically Asma Hotel was built in a pretty good strategy as it is nearby Jerudong Park area where people can stay if they cannot afford the hunkabaloo pricey accommodation at Empire, but ever since Jerudong Park has lost its vitality, the hotel was pretty much left to rot there, sadly



This be the interior of the cafe/restaurant. Looks pretty much like any other hotel restaurants, though it looked rather lonely and empty since there's prolly no guests in this hotel and people aren't seeming too keen to dine here despite being in the con


My hubby ordered green apple juice, though he said it tasted like something else, but to me it pretty much tastes like the real deal


I ordered watermelon juice. The price is pretty dear since it's hotel price and all, and since it cost just a dollar or two less than ordering juice if we ordered soft drinks, we might as well just get juice to make it worthwhile


We both ordered something like grilled chicken of sorts, with the standard fries and veggies. I like how they cooked the tomato and quartered them just nice, but the chicken itself is a little heavy in flavour, made me feel rather thirsty afterwards at the end of the day

Wouldn't recommend it unless you're a guest in this hotel or within the vicinity, but overall it's more or less satisfactory. Not the best hotel food, with super slow services, since they've got all the time to spare, but it was satisfying nonetheless
