D'April's Cafe
In our long-awaited Saturday lunch date, we decided to try some place new again. This time it led us to D'April's Cafe which we've been wanting to try in quite a while

This be the signboard, outdoor dining and entrance, as well as a bit of trigger-happy of the menu on the wall outside the restaurant. It's located in Kiulap area, around the same block as where De'Fountain Cafe (my late ex-boss's sister cafe) used to be, and also at the area where Chong Hock Music Store and Chong Hock Toynation is located

This be the interior of the cafe, as well as trigger-happy on probably the smallest menu I've ever seen to date. Looks pretty much just like any other bistro of sorts, nothing too classy, but still easy on the eye. Having them playing the AFC channel is also a good thing too, perfect show for people who are dining rather than the usual Animal Planet other people tend to showcase

My order of a warm drink of Horlicks as usual...

And my buddy's usual Coke drink

I ordered some fried wantan as side dishes. It just isn't complete to have lunch without a bit of side dish these days (though it does contribute on the weight department). Nice and crunchy, and the filling is flavoured just right with the mayo to go with it

I ordered their duck kolo meehoon. Tastes pretty good actually, and unlike the duck in Shikai which always ended up having me doing a dental tug-of-war with the meat, I had an easier time eating this duck. It's nice and tender and comes off the bone pretty easily. Goes to show that whoever cooked this is pretty good at handling duck meat

I totally forgot what's the name of this dish, but my buddy seemed to have gotten himself some sort of chicken rice with sambal dressing or something. According to him, the chicken tastes pretty good with the flavour soaked in and everything, and he pretty much liked it, so I guess it's good, since I didn't really taste it
