My friend had a craving for Japanese food and we were set to go watch a horror movie that day after lunch, so we decided to try the new Japanese restaurant named Funshabu-Shi
| Location: Gadong, near Menglait area, same area nearby where Hommed Baga is |
| Setting: Big, huge, extravangant and way bigger than the Escapade franchise, and definitely have the awesome Japanese-esque feel into it, very impressive, including the sushi train, though it hasn't started working yet |
| Le dining table, where everything was lovely ceramics, even the chopsticks |
| Le menu |
| Usual green tea, with a lovely ceramic teapot |
| Futo maki (interesting taste with the pink sugar and pickles, the sweet complimenting the plain slightly saltiness of the rice and crabstick) |
| Salmon nigiri (stole a taste to eat, and love the juicy freshness of the fish, yum yum) |
| Sanshoku don (looks very fresh and colourful) |
| Kaki furai agemono (crunchy and nice, steamy hot, and the sauce dip compliments it pretty well with its hint of tangy sourness) |
| Sake kabuto teriyaki (fresh, yummy, juicy and gooey, with the right amount of flavor in the sauce) |
| Onigiri yakimono (Tastes a bit caramelized, and pretty yummy, and also pretty filling. I almost couldn't finish my salmon fish head there) |
All the food were really yummy, especially the salmon fish head, and it's an interesting taste of the onigiri. Technically I wanted a plain onigiri with salmon filling, but they kinda messed up my order and got me the grilled onigiri instead, but it's cool, I get to taste something new.
Overall, I'm fully satisfied and I would highly recommend people to go there. So my rating will be
8/10
