Cafe De-Paris

It was a really long night when me and my best friend/colleague finished a tender that was supposed to be handed in the next day, and we hadn't really eaten, so at about midnight, after we decided that the rest can be done tomorrow before the deadline time, we went to have ourselves a very, VERY late dinner (or supper) at Cafe De-Paris.

This be the signboard of the restaurant. It is situated in Gadong, within the block right behind Wecan Restaurant. I've been here a few time to have a drink or so, and probably once to eat after hiking, but this will be the first time I do a piece on them

This be the interior of the cafe. Despite it being called a 'cafe', it's no different than a coffee shop, really, though I do commend on the workers working so late at night to serve night-owls like us, LOL! Coz we noticed one of the workers there (or was it the boss) having red eyes from lack of sleep. And it's funny when they realized I was taking pictures and telling each other to stay still for my shooting. Heh, I'm just taking the scenery, pal.

These are our drinks: Ice kasturi and iced lemon tea. Despite it being rather cold, I decided to order something cold anyways, since it's better for me to stay awake to actually eat. Kasturi is basically Malay mini-limes that has a sweet and sour flavour, and added with sugar water and, for the Chinese, preserved sugar plums, you get a sweet and sour drink. Mine is mostly sweet coz it's to counter the uber sourness of lemons. Blergh~!

We ordered the same thing, so I only took the pics for my order, which is Wa Tan Ho (wet fried kuey tiaw in egg sauce), since we can't really think of anything to eat and that was the first thing that popped in our heads that is nice and warm to the belly. Maybe we were uber hungry, but the taste was divine, and the overflowing egg sauce (which literally overflowed past my plate) tasted just the way I've always liked my egg sauce to taste on Wa Tan Ho. Mmm...!

So if you fancy a little supper, for all you night owls, this would be a good place to be, since they seemed to not be under the curfew jurisdiction. LOL~! It's still cool to be here during the day, but it's something about it being at night that seemed perfect and appealing.
