Joined the rat race after almost a few months of being unemployed after our business shut down, and I went to have my first lunch as a working woman. Decided to give 88 Cafe a shot

Location: Around Bunut area, just right next to De'Iyad Home Centre
|
Setting: Old school Chinese kopitiam, nice and simple, with an extra dining area within the shop

My economy meal order

Chinese buns and pastries in display
I was a little late in coming in for the economy rice, and I didn't feel like ordering ala carte food, so I just went with the economy rice and ordered whatever they have left just to try out the food. It's quite nice, done up old school style. Not too delicious, but not too bland either. A nice blend of just-nice quality.
Their buns and pastries that I bought as take-away were amazing though. Very delicious and a nice feel in your mouth when you chew through the bread and dough and the filling were quite exquisite. Unfortunately this place is pure Chinese restaurant and no Muslims are allowed in there since the food is non-halal, or I would've highly recommended to everyone to eat there.
