Lian Fu Restaurant and Catering

My buddy and I decided to have our New Year Eve lunch date with a bang by trying out an interesting restaurant recommended by his colleague (who came along to join us for lunch), called Lian Fu Restaurant and Catering.

Apparently this restaurant has a side income: selling exotic meat, but only if you mention it within the shop and specifically request for it. It sounds interesting, so we decided to give it a shot.

Location: Jalan Muara, all the way down in Spg 1029, though I forgot which Unit it is. Rather far and deserted, but given the nature of the menu, I wouldn't be too surprised

Setting: Typical Chinese restaurant, though because it's so remote, naturally the patronage is a little thin

Me and my buddy ordered Teh Ping

My buddy's colleague ordered cooling tea, not sure what kind

This is what we ordered, very little but looks more or less at an edible sort. My buddy ordered rice to compliment the dish while his colleague and I ordered kolo mee. These are the meat we (dared to) order:

Wild boar meat (technically it's pork) that I ordered, since I'm not sure if the exotic meat would affect my milk since I'm breastfeeding

Crocodile meat, which I admit have tried a bit. It tastes a bit like fish, and the skin tastes like sea cucumber, though how the heck are they able to cook a hard-ass crocodile skin to be so soft is beyond me

Turtle meat, though what kind of turtle I dare not even imagine. I am sad and embarrassed (and guilty) to admit that I actually tried it, and it tastes a bit like chicken. But I only ate a super small piece, that was my limit. Sorry, turtle~

Overall, it was a pretty interesting and surreal experience, albeit a little macabre and creepy, to be seeing these wild animal (aside from the boar) as food dish in front of me and actually tasting it...Not sure if I will have the guts to try it again -_-;;

As a bonus feature, here's their name card:
