Maxwell Bar & Grill

After a looooooooooooooooooooooooong day walking around certain towns and cities in London just to get the gist of things before we decide to go solo on our own, we finally managed to rest our feet and have a nice dinner, and after hunting for food places for a while, we got ourselves in Maxwell Bar & Grill

Location: Covent Garden, that's...more or less what I know ^_^;;

Setting: Upstairs is a mini dining spot, but mostly a bar with those stand-up tables and stools, while downstairs would be the main dining area, which is uber jam-packed by the way

It was a really, really filling meal, and I almost couldn't finish everything, but slow and steady wins the race...sorta. It's very satisfying and very delicious, and I enjoyed every bite of it. Though maybe I shouldn't have ordered cocktails to go with a meal like this, since it's better if I ordered a sweet drink or something. And besides, alcohol other than wine doesn't really go well with Western dining like this

White House Fish and Chips

On our first day of being in London, the first London food we got to eat was authentic fish and chips, and our bro in law decided to bring us to the one within Stanmore, which is White House Fish and Chips

Location: Stanmore neighbourhood, between...erm...places and shops that we have no idea of ^_^;;

Setting: A bit of a fit in there, but I guess they mostly specialize in take outs rather than actual dine-ins, seeing that they seem to have a waiting seat there and not much people crowding and filling the restaurant

We ordered the large portion instead of medium for our cod fish, and it was really HUGE! Shit! But still, it was very delicious. You can really taste the freshness of the fish and it just melts in your mouth as you eat it. Mm~MM! The chips tastes great too, but it might as well be almost like in the truckload, coz in the end, we couldn't finish them. But we definitely ate the fish to the last crumb though. Mmm~ Yum yum~

Tasanee Fast Food

An old relative of my hubby's is in town, so we decided to pay them a short visit before we leave for London, and oddly enough, we were led to the most obscure eating place in town called Tasanee Fast Food.

Location: Way back within Gadong Central, just beside the Concepts Computers of that branch

Setting: Typical Chinese kopitiam style, and apparently the business has been running for almost 15 years now, and we totally didn't know it even exist, no thanks to the really obscure way this place is located

Our Seria kuay tiaw, which is the in-house meal most popular for in this restaurant.

Like I mentioned, it's been almost more than 15 years since this shop had been running its business, and apparently the owner of the shop was rumoured to have an extra thumb or something, earning the nickname "Spanner" by the old friends, including my dad in law, LOL The last time I saw someone having an extra thumb was a junior in high school

Anyway, the food was pretty good, a little bit greasy, but good. You can order any filling you want (chicken, beef, seafood or just clams), without or without the bean sprouts, and with or without the sunny-side up egg. It's quite delicious really. Might go there and try it again.

Restoran & Katering S. Naaz

Was called to have lunch in a new place in Kiulap, and it was walking distance more or less, so I went to meet up with my hubby and his gang at S. Naaz

Location: Kiulap Area, same row and same block with Thien Thien and KFC

Interior: Typical kopitiam style, but with restaurant grade seats

Free flow of water, well, prolly. It was there when I got there

My hubby's chicken fried rice or something (forgot to ask him)

My Pattaya fried rice special, which basically comes with an extra sunny-side up as its "special" feature

It was alright, I guess, but then again, it was technically a newly opened restaurant, so I can't comment much on the potentiality or anything, but I was satisfied with lunch more or less while I was there. Probably reprisal for this restaurant
